The vineyards and wines from Hacienda Monasterio are all certified organic, and they keep working in the vineyards (that have NEVER been irrigated) to improve viticulture, trying to absorb the heat of the place and achieve lower alcohol and ripeness in the grapes, which they managed from 2019 and especially in 2020.

Age of Barrels: 30% new French Allier oak barrels and 70% French Allier oak used barrels (2 years).
Barrel ageing: 17 months

DESCRIPTION (JANUARY 2017)

Intense ruby red colour.
The nose is mineral with notes of fresh red fruit, strawberries, cherries and a minty touch very integrated with the tertiary aromas of the barrel.The mouth has a fresh and fluid entrance; with nervous and young tannins that give to the wine volume in the mid-mouth. The wine is mineral, complex, long and has a freshness, a fragrance and a structure that allow a promising development and aging in the bottle.
